Rock singer and Grestch guitars fanatic, Jose adopted his artistic name “Perdicion” after the book “Calamidades y milagros - Calamities and miracles” by Octavio Paz. He stated that this term best described a personal view on life and course of things. Not by chance all his lyrics are populated by fatal women, odd characters and double senses in black and white scenes. He likes to stress his audience’s mind with an overwhelming number of concepts and meanings, like in a David Lynch movie.

Jose sings and plays all the instruments in his records. His compositions are a mixture of pop, rock, surf and psychedelia with a unique flavour and heavy use of tremolo effect. His main influences are The Doors, Chris Isaak, Tito & Tarantula, Lou Reed, HIM and all 60s surf music.

Jose began into music at the early age of 6, when he started to take music lessons followed by piano lessons at 10 and since then, he always has been involved in all kinds of musical projects, different bands and a folk-rock live act called “Old Rose”. After he graduated from Northumbria University, UK, he worked in several self-produced albums, re-recorded his best folk-rock songs in “Los días que se van” and did the same with his best rock stuff in “I’m a Standing Stone”.
